Aerotek Aviation, based in the south of England, has a worldwide reputation for providing quality maintenance repair and overhaul of aircraft landing gear, hydraulic components and wheel reworks at very competitive prices. This has lead to Aerotek Aviation receiving a multi million Pound contract from an overseas government, to overhaul their regional commuter aircraft’s landing gear for the next ten years. Aerotek Aviation’s services include an Aircraft-on-Ground component and gear repairs, on-site aircraft servicing, ad-hoc component test and inspection as well as non destructive testing (NDT).
Aerotek Aviation’s highly skilled and experienced staff has developed life prolonging processes for all aircraft wheel hubs by carrying out specialist machining processes. Two of the biggest airplane wheel and brake shops are sending all their repair work to Aerotek and a third major airline intending to send its maintenance and repair requirements to our facilities in the very near future.
Aerotek is a global service provider: North and South America, Asia, Africa and across Europe.
Aerotek Aviation Company History
Aerotek is a family run and owned business. It was started by Eric May in 1993 and has grown into the advanced aerospace engineering centre we have today.
Initially specialising, and taking command of the market, in the repair and overhaul of the Shorts twin prop fleet and other twin prop aircraft; today the company caters for 32 different aircraft fleets.
By popular demand for our expertise, Aerotek focused on supporting the Commuter Regional aircraft business. This business sector has allowed the company to grow consistently, even during the economic downturns in recent years. Aerotek is highly regarded in the repair and overhaul landing gear business and exports 70% of its products worldwide to places diverse as Italy, Seychelles, USA and the Caribbean.
Aerotek has a good working relationship with Bombardier Shorts through supporting the Belfast company’s product aircrafts including the Skyvan, the Shorts 330, 360 and the C23B. This has lead to Aerotek globally supporting these aircraft, in both militarily and civil operations. Furthermore, it has resulted in Aerotek securing a lucrative ten year government contract to overhaul all aircraft landing gears for these military aircraft.
Aerotek Aviation now repairs and overhauls landing gear for the Bombardier Hawk, Jaguar Dash 8, Fokker 27, Fokker 28, Fokker 50, Fokker 70, Fokker 100, Shorts 330, Shorts 360, Shorts C23B, Embraer 110, Embraer 120, and is also focusing on the BAe 146 Avro RJ. Our in house engineering skills and experience has allowed Aerotek to develop and become the major aviation wheel hub machining repair organisation in the UK, for all the Airbus, Boeing, BAe, Fokker, Honeywell, Goodrich and Embraer aircraft wheels.
